HSR4R Strategy

On August 7, 2019, the Fisabio Foundation was awarded the HR Excellence in Research quality seal by the European Commission.

The "Human Resources Strategy for Researchers" (HRS4R), developed by the European Commission, is a tool for implementing the recommendations on the rights and responsibilities of researchers, as well as those of their employers and/or funders. These recommendations are outlined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C).

Since January 2018, when Fisabio submitted its commitment letter, the institution has undertaken an analysis of its compliance with the 40 principles outlined in the C&C and the Open, Transparent, Merit-based Recruitment (OTM-R) policy. The goal of this analysis was to identify areas of improvement and shortcomings to be addressed in the coming years. This information has been incorporated into a Human Resources Action Plan for FISABIO Researchers, aimed at enhancing the institution's appeal to its research staff and creating the best possible conditions for the development of their research careers.
