The incorporation of the liquid biopsy technique into clinical routine is intended to monitor the situation in advanced tumors. It allows the identification of tumors in a minimally invasive way, as well as having information about the disease in real time. With a blood sample from the patient, traces of information can be detected (from circulating cells to significant samples of DNA/RNA, and mutations can also be identified in 77 genes against which there are experimental therapies. The application of this technique reduces the number of biopsies in addition to being able to apply a personalized treatment adapted to these alterations of the patient.It will be carried out in different types of advanced cancer: lung (from which samples are already being obtained), breast, ovaries, colorectal, pancreas, prostate and primary of unknown origin.
