VITAL

The objective of this project is to identify and develop vaccination strategies that can effectively protect the aging population by improving their immune response to vaccination based on a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying immune decline in the elderly, visualize the burden and potential direct or indirect side effects of infectious diseases requiring vaccines, present scenarios on the efficiency of vaccine delivery through modeling exercises (including cost-effectiveness from various perspectives), and enable persuasive communication on the results and proposed solutions from our research to stakeholders and on how to advance a vaccination program for the elderly.
