READI is an IHI-funded project that aims to foster a more cohesive and integrated clinical trial ecosystem for underserved communities.
This pioneering project is a public-private partnership formed by a multi-stakeholder consortium of 73 organizations, supported by €66.8 million in funding from the Innovative Health Joint Initiative (IHI JU) and contributing industry partners from 18 countries.
READI's primary goal is to improve the representativeness of underserved populations in clinical trials by fostering a more cohesive and integrated clinical trial ecosystem.
READI will help communities overcome barriers to clinical trial participation, such as lack of information or knowledge, mistrust, poor communication, geographic limitations and bias. In turn, this will enhance research on various diseases and conditions, improve preventive care and treatment efficacy in diverse demographics, and better serve society.
