|SUMMER SCHOOL - Module 2|
Module 2/ Preparation of Genomic and Amplicon Libraries for Illumina Platforms.
Dates: July 4th- July 6rd 2018
Coordinator: Llúcia Martínez Priego (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Sequencing Service of Fundació per al Foment de la Investigació Sanitària i Biomèdica de la Generalitat Valenciana (FISABIO – Salut Pública) proposes a basic course in preparation of metagenomic (whole genome sequencing) and amplicon libraries (16S and others) for Illumina platforms.
The course is addressed to professionals of microbiology services in hospitals, NGS laboratory technicians and other professionals in microbiology, health sciences and related fields who are interested in learning new techniques to approach the study of the microbiome.
The module will be practical and hands-on, and will teach participants to prepare two different libraries for Illumina platforms: 16S amplicon libraries for taxonomy analyses and whole genome amplification libraries for metagenomic analyses.
Brief theoretical sessions and practical hands-on sessions will be taught by FISABIO Sequencing Service staff.
Official language: English or Spanish (depending on the students’ origin)
Module costs: 480 euros
Llúcia Martínez Priego PhD. Manager in the Sequencing Service of FISABIO-SP.
